Anthem Country Club Cost 2026: Is It Really Worth It?

⛳ Anthem Country Club: What Does It Really Cost?

Ever wonder what it costs to live behind the gates of Anthem Golf & Country Club? With new membership dues taking effect in November 2026, now is the perfect time to break it all down, line by line, so there are no surprises.

Whether you’re dreaming of mountain views from the 9th hole or just love the idea of a resort-style lifestyle, here’s what you need to know before you buy.

💰 New Monthly Membership Dues (Effective November 2026)

Anthem Golf & Country Club offers several membership levels:

  • Full Golf: $1,610/month
  • Classic Golf: $1,080/month
  • Resident Social: $370/month (mandatory for Country Club homeowners)
  • XLife: $100/month (membership enhancement)

The Resident Social membership went up from $345 to $370 per month. That’s $25 more each month, or $300 more per year.

🏡 What If You Don’t Golf?

Here’s something a lot of buyers don’t realize:

Country Club homeowners are required to maintain a social membership, whether they golf or not.  The social membership is not just about golf...it includes the Country Club amenities, clubhouses, events, etc.

So even if your putting skills top out at the mini-golf windmill, that $370 is part of the deal.

When you combine the new social dues with the Country Club HOA and Anthem Community Council assessments, here’s the mandatory cost:

Mandatory Cost Monthly
Resident Social Membership $370.00
Country Club HOA + Anthem Community Council dues ($626.46 quarterly) $208.82
Total ≈ $579/month

That’s approximately $6,946 per year, before you ever pick up a club.

And if you do golf?

Add a Full Golf membership and you’re looking at a very different monthly number, plus the golf membership initiation fee.

⛳ How Does Anthem Compare?

Believe it or not, Anthem is relatively affordable compared with many private Scottsdale country clubs, where full golf memberships can run $2,000 to $3,000 per month, sometimes with six-figure initiation fees!

And Anthem has plenty to offer for the price:

  • Two championship golf courses
  • Two clubhouses
  • Swimming pools
  • Fitness centers
  • Tennis, pickleball, and bocce
  • Dining and social events

For golfers who’ll use the courses regularly, that’s a strong value in the North Valley.

🤔 So… Is It Worth It?

That’s the million-dollar question! (Or at least the $6,946 question.)

For some, the amenities and lifestyle are worth every penny. Daily rounds, happy hours at the clubhouse, and built-in social life can be a dream come true!!  The Anthem Country CLub is not just for golfers!  There are also many people that live in the Anthem Country Club that are not golfers, but rather love the amenities, events, gated entrannces, clubhouses, and everything else that is available!

Others might prefer to put that money toward travel, a pool in the backyard, or a lower mortgage payment.

Here are a few questions to ask yourself:

  • How often will I actually use the amenities? Be honest. Weekly? Monthly? Only when friends visit?
  • Do I golf, or do I want to start? If not, the social membership is still required.
  • How does this fit my overall budget? That $579 a month affects your buying power, just like a bigger mortgage payment would.
  • Could another Anthem neighborhood give me what I need? Anthem has great options outside the Country Club too.

🙋‍♀️ A Little Disclaimer

I’m a Realtor, not a golfer. 😄 I also chose to live in the Anthem community of Parkside, where I have access to parks, pools, the community center, and trails for a much lower cost. But everyone has different lifestyles and interests, and for many of my clients, the Country Club is exactly the right fit....and for others, it is living in Parkside.

What’s best for you? That’s what we figure out together.
